Record-Breaking Month for Foundation Website

Maybe it was the excitement of kids heading back to school. Maybe it was just people like you wanting to keep up with what’s happening in our schools and our community.

Whatever the reason, the Foundation’s website enjoyed a record-setting month in September.

For the month, the website attracted nearly seven thousand visitors, bringing the total visitors for the year to more than thirty thousand. September’s total number of visitors, 6,914, eclipsed the previous record of 5,859, set last May, by more than a thousand.

Much of the traffic to the site was driven by the weekly Cheat Sheet guide to events in East Grand Rapids, but visitors stayed to check out much of the rest of the content on the site as well. The alumni Class News page was a popular destination, as was the registration page for this year’s Community Service and Distinguished Alumni Dinner, which will be held November 1 at Thousand Oaks Golf Club.

The online version of the Foundation’s fall newsletter, highlighted by a downloadable infographic that showcased what you and the Foundation did for our schools in the past year, was a frequent destination too.

September also saw a lot of visitors from the East Class of 1988, which held its 30th reunion at the end of the month. As far as where visitors spent the most time on the site, the collection of alumni profiles called “A Virtual Cup of Coffee with…” proved to be one of  the most popular pages for visitors to settle in and enjoy reading interesting interviews with some notable East alumni.
