Student Board Member Application

  • Teacher/Staff Recommendation - please have one or two East Grand Rapids staff members email or mail a recommendation to the EGR Schools Foundation no later than May 1. EGR Staff members can include coaches, guidance counselors, club sponsors, teachers, etc.

  • Responsibilities and commitment of East Grand Rapids Schools Foundation Board of Directors - Student Board Member:

    • Regular attendance and participation at monthly board meetings and at Foundation special events
    • Active participation on Foundation committees
    • Active reporting to the high school student population of Foundation activities
    • Support and promote the Foundation and its mission within the community
    • Objective and critical evaluation of the grant requests that come before the Foundation
    • Willingness to serve a two-year term (junior and senior years)
    • Planning Foundation publicity in the Vision
    • Student board members must remain in good standing in accordance with school policy throughout their term
