You can only have one: Rose’s caramel corn, an ice cream cone from Jersey Junction, or a Yesterdog. Which do you choose?
Yesterdog.
What are your plans after graduation?
I’m attending Kalamazoo College to study psychology.
What have you learned in East that will enable you to be successful?
Time management. I was given numerous opportunities throughout the 4 years that forced me to learn how to juggle my time and I will be forever grateful for them.
What were you like in school?
Very quiet. I liked to try different activities and hobbies but I was very reserved and not very outgoing. I mainly focused on my academics and that caused me to be very shy to most of my class.
Did you have a favorite teacher or class?
I loved all of my teachers but Ms. Murphy and I had a very special bond that helped me in many ways all four years.
If you had to choose one moment in one location to serve as the signature moment of your East school experience, what would it be?
I’m not sure. There were a lot of very special moments.
What do you know now that you wish you’d known when you were younger?
I wish I would’ve known that not everyone will like you and that’s not a bad thing because sometimes people are just mean and it’s not my fault.
Who from East do you think you’ll stay in touch with in the future?
Hopefully many people.
What advice do you have for young East kids?
Don’t take your time here for granted. Try everything despite what people think or who else is doing it.
Bonus question: What are you glad we didn’t ask you about?
I’m not sure.
