What are your plans after graduation?
I am going to Westmont College in Santa Barbara hoping to study psychology.
What have you learned in East that will enable you to be successful?
I have learned to prioritize and manage my time well.
What were you like in school?
In school I am polite and quiet, but occasionally funny.
Did you have a favorite teacher or class?
I had many great teachers but my favorite was Dr. Borst.
If you had to choose one moment in one location to serve as the signature moment of your East school experience, what would it be?
One time in Mrs. Baranoski’s class I was presenting an analysis of a passage and translated the Spanish “agua malo” to a swear word...this is a memory I will never forget even if I tried. It is a forever reminder that I will never be able to learn Spanish.
What do you know now that you wish you’d known when you were younger?
I wish I had known to take advantage of the time I had with my classmates and teachers. I never knew how abruptly it could all end.
Who from East do you think you’ll stay in touch with in the future?
My close friends.
What advice do you have for young East kids?
Make the most out of every day and try your best to make people feel welcomed in your community.
