A virtual Cup of Coffee with Isabel Gorsline '20

You can only have one: Rose’s caramel corn, an ice cream cone from Jersey Junction, or a Yesterdog. Which do you choose?
Yesterdog.

What are your plans after graduation?
I’m going to University of Michigan.

What have you learned in East that will enable you to be successful?
The importance of community.

What were you like in school?
I tried to challenge myself and put myself in awkward/uncomfortable situations to branch out and make new friends.

Did you have a favorite teacher or class?
I loved all my teachers!

If you had to choose one moment in one location to serve as the signature moment of your East school experience, what would it be?
Open mic at Senior Retreat.

What do you know now that you wish you’d known when you were younger?
Everyone always says it goes by so quick and even though that’s really cheesy it’s so true.

Who from East do you think you’ll stay in touch with in the future?
Hopefully some teachers, but definitely some classmates and teammates.

What advice do you have for young East kids?
Join as many clubs and sports as you can and enjoy every second (you get out of high school what you put into it)!

Bonus question: What are you glad we didn’t ask you about?
Least favorite teacher.
