You can only have one: Rose’s caramel corn, an ice cream cone from Jersey Junction, or a Yesterdog. Which do you choose?
Yesterdog.
What are your plans after graduation?
I am going to The University of Michigan.
What have you learned in East that will enable you to be successful?
I have learned time management skills and how to balance multiple assignments and commitments at once.
What were you like in school?
Introverted but I became slightly more extroverted as I got older. I tended to be more social the more I knew the teacher and those who I was sitting by.
Did you have a favorite teacher or class?
Mrs Miller and Mr Faber were my favorite teachers. They both were super nice and always were able to make their lessons interesting and engaging.
If you had to choose one moment in one location to serve as the signature moment of your East school experience, what would it be?
There was not a specific moment but I enjoyed my time with the We The People Team. I made lots of friends and have many good memories with my unit and other kids on the team.
What do you know now that you wish you’d known when you were younger?
To not stress over dumb stuff because a lot of things that you think matter actually don’t as you get older.
Who from East do you think you’ll stay in touch with in the future?
My friends.
What advice do you have for young East kids?
Enjoy things as much as you can because you never know when the last time you’ll do something will be. Also try to find one extracircular to be involved in that you really enjoy.
Bonus question: What are you glad we didn’t ask you about?
What my major will be.
