A Virtual Cup of Coffee with Lauren Zago '20

You can only have one: Rose’s caramel corn, an ice cream cone from Jersey Junction, or a Yesterdog. Which do you choose?
Definitely an ice cream cone from Jersey Junction!

What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to attend Hope College and do Pre-Med. Afterwards, I hope to pursue a PA program in California.

What have you learned in East that will enable you to be successful?
I have learned how hard work truly pays off.

What were you like in school?
I loved working with others and getting to know new people.

Did you have a favorite teacher or class?
Psychology with Mrs. Miller :)

If you had to choose one moment in one location to serve as the signature moment of your East school experience, what would it be?
Although there are many, I would have to say being in the stands at the football games. The energy and excitement is something I will forever miss.

What do you know now that you wish you’d known when you were younger?
I wish I knew how fast everything goes by and to cherish every moment.

Who from East do you think you’ll stay in touch with in the future?
I hope to stay in touch with quite a bit of people, especially my close friends.

What advice do you have for young East kids?
To cherish every moment at East. Get to know your classmates and teachers, attend sporting events and work hard, because it all goes by way too fast.

Bonus question: What are you glad we didn’t ask you about?
I am glad you did not ask about our least favorite memory or teacher.
