A newspaper? Yes, the East Vision still prints a newspaper. If you get a chance, grab a copy. Not only is it really informative and interesting, it also feels wonderful. The unwieldy size, the frailty of the newsprint, the slick of the ink. It’s like holding Sunday morning in your hands.
They have a website, too, of course. They’re not troglodytes. Here’s a link to it: https://theeastvision.info
If you want to know what’s really happening at the high school, and what students are thinking, spend a few minutes reading the East Vision. You’ll get a pretty good idea.
Fourteen years ago, in 2009, the Foundation funded a grant to purchase cameras and camcorders for the Vision. In 2016, we funded a grant to help them build their website. And this year, when they felt another seven-year itch, we funded a grant to fund new media devices for the Vision.
We’re glad we’ve been so involved in the development of the East Vision and student journalism. High school would be a lesser place without it.
Thank you, Foundation donors, for making this possible. You can help support our mission of investing in educational enhancements for all our students on our Donate page.
