When the Foundation started out 40 years ago, it had two main goals: enhance academics and preserve programs endangered by budget cuts.
The Spanish program in all our schools is a prime example of both.
Over the years, the Foundation has funded numerous grants applied for by Spanish teachers, from new technology to books to a professional development trip to Spain.
Not that long ago, though, in the midst of a recession, the entire elementary world language program was on the chopping block. Thanks to the generosity of our community, and the tireless work of EGRNow volunteers, the Foundation provided more than $250,000 in the 2017-2018 school year to preserve the world language program and provide kindergarten and 1st grade paraeducators (more on that later in the countdown).
Gracias, donantes de la Fundación, por hacer esto posible. You can help support our mission of investing in educational enhancements for all our students on our Donate page.
