For years, the Foundation has been providing resources for students with special needs. We’ve funded laptop computers to be used in special education classes and many other grants that have helped students with special needs, including the Mindful Moments in Music and Cardio Drumming grants in 2018.
We’ve also funded grants for the Links CONNECT program that partners special needs students with general education peers to develop social connections and comfort within a safe environment.
Although this class as we know it was not offered this year, it will be back in a new updated form in coming years. It’s an incredible program that spurs growth in all the students who participate in it. Time and time again, students say Links CONNECT was the most meaningful, rewarding class they took in school.
