What are your plans after graduation?
Going to the University of Wisconsin-Madison to run cross country and track and study journalism.
What have you learned in East that will enable you to be successful?
I have learned discipline and socialization skills that will help me beyond college.
What were you like in school?
Very busy with lots of studying and running lots of miles! I loved to run on trails with my friends and spend time with my family in Colorado.
Did you have a favorite teacher or class?
Mrs, Hazle, Mrs, Michell, and Mrs. Mapes! English has been my favorite.
If you had to choose one moment in one location to serve as the signature moment of your East school experience, what would it be?
Winning the D2 Cross Country State Championship, or meeting the team for the first time in the athletic lobby.
What do you know now that you wish you’d known when you were younger?
How to enjoy running and school without being stressed out and missing out on enjoying the process and being able to have fun with my friends and family.
Who from East do you think you’ll stay in touch with in the future?
My teammates and teachers.
What advice do you have for young East kids?
Not to take yourself too seriously, to be compassionate, and to enjoy!
