What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to study social sciences at Harvard, specifically history, economics, and government! I hope to later go to law school, after which I'll either practice law or pursue work in public service (or both).
What have you learned in East that will enable you to be successful?
Hard work doesn't always yield the results we expect, but there is always reward in taking risks and taking on challenges.
What were you like in school?
I'm willing to guarantee that few people would deny my political-outspokenness or goody two-shoes nature. Those who've seen the other half of my nerdy/introverted personality know there's some – & by some, I mean a lot of – craziness to me. I feel bad for any teacher who made the mistake of seating me next to Grace Griemsman! Sorry!
Did you have a favorite teacher or class?
This is an unfair question because I’ve had so many great teachers and great classes. Top teachers: Strickland, Mapes, Horos, Stabile, LaGrand, Baranoski, Miller. I like history and books, so that probably makes sense. Either way, not a fair question.
If you had to choose one moment in one location to serve as the signature moment of your East school experience, what would it be?
Memorial Field, Homecoming 2019.
What do you know now that you wish you’d known when you were younger?
Appreciate the little things in life, and being an only child is awesome when you're older. Carly Krupp knows.
Who from East do you think you’ll stay in touch with in the future?
My best friends and teachers. You know who you are.
What advice do you have for young East kids?
East is really just the best. You’re growing up in a community that will always be there to support you, so appreciate and enjoy it! Support and learn from the people around you – developing and sustaining meaningful relationships is key! And of course, do the things you love
Bonus question: What are you glad we didn’t ask you about?
How many inches I grew in high school. For the record, I never made it past 5’0”
